Implants Done The Right Way!

Missing multiple teeth can cause severe problems with an individual’s self-confidence often causing significant impacts in both their social life and sometimes career. These issues can lead to difficulty with speech and chewing which can then cause actual problems with malnutrition. Thankfully, there is a permanent solution available to these individuals.Typically, the method for repairing missing teeth is a bridge that is cemented into the adjacent teeth. This requires grinding down those neighboring teeth so that they can act as a support. The multiple tooth implant is a better solution to this problem. By using multiple implants in the jaw as the supporting structure you can completely avoid the process of damaging your other teeth. These implants won’t jiggle around as is common with more traditional bridges. The result is a completely natural smile that looks like it has always been that way.

How is it done:

Initial consultation: Dr. Sajadi will meet with you for a thorough examination of your mouth, including taking X-rays or 3D images. At that time, you will discuss the various implant options and develop a plan for your implant surgery.

Preparation for the implant placement: Occasionally a tooth extraction or bone grafting may need to be performed to prepare the jawbone to accept the dental implant for the most ideal placement. You will need time to heal after these procedures before advancing to the next step in the process. Dr. Sajadi is an expert in regenerating bone with various bone grafting procedures that can be combined with extractions and dental implant placement.

Dental implant placement: At your next scheduled appointment, Dr. Sajadi will place the dental implants into your jawbone at the site where your teeth are missing. Most people tend to experience less pain than expected and are often able to return to work the next day. Dr. Sajadi is certified and able to provide all your anesthesia needs for the procedure. The post op experience for each patient varies but most patients usually manage any pain with over-the-counter medications.

Osseointegration: As you heal, your implant and jawbone will fuse together in a process called osseointegration, forming a strong, long-lasting foundation for your replacement teeth. During this healing process, which can take up to a few months, you can go on with your life as normal. In many cases, Dr. Sajadi is able to place temporary teeth onto the implant to give you a sense of a more typical smile while you recover.

Custom-make and attach new teeth and bridge: Once the implant and the jaw bone have finishing fusing and all healing has completed Dr. Sajadi will make impressions of your mouth and remaining teeth to custom make your bridge that will support all of your new teeth. Your new teeth will never decay and the implants will last the rest of your life time.
